The room was very clean, and it seems the on-site izakaya is open to overnight guests even if they haven’t booked meals. It could work well as a base for sightseeing in Miyajima, though the room view isn’t quite an ocean view. Check-in, however, was very confusing. It’s unmanned, and even after I entered my name correctly several times, it couldn’t find my reservation. There was nobody at the desk and no answer on the internal line. I finally called the external number, and someone helped me. Apparently same-day bookings may not show up. There’s also an annex, which made things harder to figure out.

The room is spacious, but the bed is only a single and sits by the window. It felt cold, as if air was coming through the gap between the curtain and the window. Amenities were ordinary, there’s no breakfast, and the bathroom is tiny, more like a one-room apartment, with only a shower. The price is far too high, and there’s nowhere around to eat. There is an izakaya downstairs, but it isn’t reasonably priced either. To me, this is a lowest-rank hotel, somewhere you’d stay only if you had no other choice. I wouldn’t come back for work or leisure. I think it would be better to find a love hotel and buy alcohol and food at a convenience store.
