Hostel & Cafe Bar Backpackers Miyajima

The lounge and bar area was cozy and made it easy to meet people and chat. The location was great for exploring the island, and the rooms and bathrooms were clean. I stayed two nights in the dorm, but barely slept either night because the bed had almost no cushion and was very uncomfortable for me. You can also hear other people in the dorm pretty clearly, though headphones or earplugs help. For the location and price, it’s still a very good hostel.

A fun, laid-back place with friendly, helpful staff who speak English well. It’s small, clean, and has the usual amenities. The location works well for island visitors who aren’t staying overnight, since it’s close to the train and ferry landing. The main drawback is the limited number of showers. At busy times, expect to wait in line.

From the rooftop, you get a great view of part of Miyajima isle, including the floating temple and floating gate. The hostel is very clean, has helpful staff, and even offers separate rooms for extra privacy or tatami sleeping, all at a great price. There’s a nice bar if your throat gets dry, too. Thanks to the whole staff for their friendliness and hospitality. This is how all hostels should be.

Warm welcome, cozy bar area, and very comfortable beds. The hostel sits in an unbeatable spot overlooking the island. They have free bikes, which is great, but could use more showers. The price is above average, so it’d be nice if breakfast or towel rental were included.
