Getting here from Tokyo takes about an hour and a half by train and bus, and I wasn't sure what to expect from the restaurant. The attentive staff and delicious lunch set course won me over, especially with the sea view. Even the dessert stood out. It wasn't very sweet like many desserts in Japan, and they knew how to balance bitter and sweet. A lovely chance to unwind from busy Tokyo.

It was an okay place, though a little underwhelming. The food was good but didn't blow me away, and the service wasn't very accommodating. They poured the oil, but the bread arrived six minutes later. Empty soup plates stayed on the table for ten minutes, and the tea came after we'd finished dessert.
