The Bath & Bed Hayama

A really nice Air B&B, and a cozy, modern place to unwind after trips to the beach. From the outside it looks haunted, but it isn't. There's no kitchen, so plan to eat out or walk ten minutes to the nearest 7/11. At checkout, leave your garbage inside. Don't put it in the outdoor bin, or the grouchy neighbor may take the bag out and rudely throw it back onto the property. That was really unpleasant. The window also rattles loudly at night when it's windy.

This was a unique stay in a small, clean, modern, and cozy place made from an old Japanese shed. It's about a five-minute walk from the beach's north end, with a grocery and drug store, a donut and coffee shop, and restaurants nearby. There are two king beds upstairs, along with a collection of coffee table books. Recommended.

A stylish, clean, comfortable place with an amazing shower and bath, very close to the beach and grocery store. Such a unique stay. Fattys is next door too, and worth checking out for tasty pasta :)

After the crowds of Kamakura had worn me out, the quiet atmosphere in Hayama helped me reset. The inn is only a short walk from the ocean, and the gentle waves in the evening were soothing. It was a relaxing place to spend time at my own pace. I picked up dinner from a nearby supermarket and ate at the inn, which felt luxurious in a different way from going to a restaurant. The renovated old storehouse has a charming exterior and beautiful taste inside. The interior, lighting, and little details all felt carefully chosen and made for a comfortable stay. The bath was especially memorable, with just the right size and temperature, and it eased my travel fatigue right away. I think it's a great spot for a peaceful adult getaway where you can simply do nothing.
