Hotel AreaOne Hiroshima Wing

We arrived late at Hiroshima Airport and appreciated how quickly we could get to the hotel by car. The room was quite large and comfortable, and the bed was good. The bathroom was a typical Japanese unit bath, but everything worked. Some of the controls by the bed didn’t work, though the light switches did. It feels like a late-Showa era hotel that could use some maintenance in the rooms. For the price, it was reasonable value.

There’s free parking right in front, and the location is very close to the airport. The spa was relaxing, and the room was big by Japanese standards. The hotel is a bit dated, but it was tidy and clean, as Japanese hotels usually are. Laundry is free, with two self-service washing machines on the 4 level. The dryer costs ¥100 for 30 mins. The map code didn’t match the location, so keep left along the side road and make a left U turn onto a small road before you reach the hotel.

I picked this place because I was getting in late from the airport, and had a pleasant stay. The breakfast was good, and a soak in the onsen after the flight was lovely. I also liked the shampoo bar, a nice touch.

Free parking was the biggest plus for me. The rooms were nice, and the onsens were at a good temperature. I especially loved the outdoor open air bath.
