Hotel Park Inn - Adults Only

I live far away and stay here once a month, and something goes wrong each time: they get the charges wrong, the room lights don't work, or they forget the free iced coffee. The handover between reception staff is always terrible. I keep coming back because they offer lots of free food and sweets, and it's such a nice hotel. It's a shame.

I've stayed here many times for business. Membership includes both dinner and breakfast, so it's excellent value for money. The only downside is that some rooms smell like sewage.

The spacious room, welcome drink and meal, wide selection of tasty main menu dishes, and breakfast were all excellent. I had no particular problems with the facilities or amenities. The trouble started with the arrival time policy: bookings require a time, and a note says the reservation will be cancelled if you're more than 30 minutes late without contacting them. Since it's hard to predict arrival while booking, I entered an approximate time, but ended up arriving an hour earlier than planned. I contacted the hotel, killed some time, then arrived 30 minutes early after running out of things to do. Even though I'd let them know, they made us wait until the scheduled time, which was a first and unpleasant. We were waiting in the designated area, but they didn't call us when it was time; we had to go over ourselves. A couple checked out while we waited, and I wondered why they couldn't have sorted something out when a room had been secured just five minutes before our scheduled check-in. It may be better to book the earliest check-in time and contact them again on the day once you know your actual arrival time. Without that experience, this would have been a top-rated hotel.

I wish they'd clean the places that are out of sight, too. The delivery door by the room entrance was dusty, and dust flew around after the drinks were brought. In the photo, there are food scraps in the gap in the sofa. I have no idea how long they'd been there.
