There are plenty of good places to eat nearby, and the hotel has an indoor onsen too. Breakfast was great, especially from a window seat while it was snowing. The room felt small, though you might be able to get a better one if you book ahead.

There’s a large AEON right across from the hotel, and parking is free either out front or in a second lot. The rooms are very small, as you’d expect at a typical Japanese business hotel. There’s also a small onsen and a buffet with both Japanese and Western dishes. Good value for the money.

It’s a peaceful, comfortable place, though a bit far from town. Having a rental car makes it a good base for a trip. The staff were polite and friendly, everything was clean, and I slept well.

It’s handy for visiting Rissyakuji Temple (Yamadera) and Ginzan Onsen in the same day. Sakurambo-Higashine Station is close by, with good restaurants and chain shops for things like clothes and electronics within walking distance. The place was clean, quiet, and practical. Service was great, breakfast was very good, and the rooms were Japanese standard size.
