I used this as a base for three days of hiking and enjoyed it. Each evening I walked to restaurants nearby. The rooms are small but comfortable, and the reception team was quick, friendly, and efficient. Breakfast was a tasty Japanese meal for just Yen 500, with lovely kitchen staff. There’s a small gym with a treadmill and a few weights, plus free espresso at reception. The nightly rate was about Yen 10 - 12,000 depending on when you book.

Just one night, but it was a nice stay. The town is lovely, with plenty to see on foot, and the hotel was so spotless I was surprised they let me in. A staff member helped put my bicycle away in the back of the garage. Breakfast came with the stay and was delicious. 2023

We couldn’t get breakfast on our second day because of Covid restrictions, though it was good and really reasonably priced the first day. The staff were all kind and professional, and the room rates were fair. The room and bathroom felt a little tight for two adults, but both were very clean. We’re planning to stay again.

Good value, with clean rooms and decent beds, though the pillows were a bit hard. It’s handy for Oita, the Attack on titan locations, Mount Aso, and Beppu.
