The owner was so friendly. I arrived four hours before check-in, and she still let me leave my bags in the room. When I left, she gave me two Hirosaki apples. It’s a nice older hotel with big, bright rooms, and none of the strict rules you get at a typical Japanese business hotel. She doesn’t speak English, but greets you with a big smile. There’s a small restaurant and bar, though I’m not sure when it’s open.

The woman at the front desk was very friendly, and the hotel is good value. The room was clean and comfortable, even though it’s definitely dated. Nothing fancy, and it felt like going back in time, but it has its own appeal. The location is good, with plenty of places to eat nearby.

A quiet, uncrowded little hotel with friendly, prompt staff, just two minutes on foot from Hirosaki station, Aomori. It’s an affordable gem.

It’s an old hotel that’s seen better days, but the lady running it is friendly. The big plus is how close it is to Hirosaki station. Just across the parking lot there’s an excellent izakaya that stays open late.

The rooms at Hirosaki Ekimae Hotel were clean and quiet, though the facilities felt a little dated. I’m really grateful to the owner and staff for their warm, gracious hospitality. I was traveling as a foreigner during Golden Week in the smaller city of Hirosaki, where some things were closed or farther away unless I took a taxi. Whenever I asked for help, they were patient and went out of their way, including helping me with laundry.
