I only tried the onsen. The water wasn’t very hot, but it felt high quality. While wet, my skin felt very slippery, though that went away once it dried. Entry was 900 yen, a small towel cost 100 yen, and a large one was 200 yen. A draft beer afterward was really good. Saucey!

We came with the family, and the hot spring water was wonderful. It felt very thick, and the slight roughness I’d had on my back was completely gone by morning. My skin was so smooth afterward. The food was delicious, and the portions were just right. For the price, I found this ryokan really satisfying. I love hot springs and have stayed at lots of ryokans. I wonder if people who leave negative reviews are expecting the service of an upscale ryokan. Some say the water is lukewarm, but since it’s so thick, I think keeping it lukewarm makes it easier to soak for longer.
