Dormy Inn Hiroshima Hot Spring

I know it’s a very affordable stay in Hiroshima, but I didn’t think the room was worth it. It was extremely small, and the bathroom felt like one in a campervan. The window looked straight at a brick wall about 1m away, with no sunlight coming in, which is really bad for your circadian rhythm. Room service didn’t really clean, just replaced the towels. I skipped the included breakfast because it looked very average and would rather eat something from a 7/11. Hiroshima’s sights are also quite a walk away.

Although the tourist hotspots are a bit far away, the tram and bus links are very good, so getting around wasn’t a problem. My room was larger than I expected, and the public bath was great. There were lots of amenities that made the stay better, but what really stood out was the staff. They were incredibly friendly, accommodating, and helpful with everything. It was an amazing experience, and I can’t praise the staff enough.

We only stayed one night, but it was a great one. The room was a good size compared with others we’ve had in Japan, and the staff were brilliant, friendly, and helpful. It’s well placed for the Peace Memorial Museum, with a bus stop nearby and an easy route to and from the station on the 101/103.

The breakfast was great, and the nighttime ramen was great too. The rooms were comfortable, and the Peace Park and Museum are within walking distance. There’s a convenience store on the corner by the nearest tram stop. I’d definitely stay here again.
