The beds in the shared room had enough curtain coverage to sleep even with the main light on. We were a pair, and could pull back the curtain between our beds to make one larger space together, which was a nice touch. The beds were spacious and felt private. The location is peaceful at night, on the quieter side of the park, while the main nightlife is walkable on the other side. It’s also right by the atom bomb museum and park, and one tram ride from the main Shinkansen station. Staff were thoughtful, patient, and very polite, even helping us when we couldn’t figure out the washing machines. One staff member practised his English with us at check-in and did very well. The hostel bar offers discounted beer to guests. I’d recommend the stay without hesitation. The nearby ‘Bakery Roti’, about a five-minute walk away, was a revelation. Go there for a tasty, great-value breakfast or lunch.

The location is great, and the staff were so welcoming that they made the stay as comfortable as they could. They may be the nicest hotel, hostel, or Airbnb employees I’ve come across. There are no luggage lockers, which is very unusual for a hostel. Anything laptop-sized or larger is at risk unless you leave it with staff during business hours. Also, the beds are separated by curtains rather than solid barriers, so a person in the next bed can reach over and touch you.

I loved Hiroshima, and this was a great hostel to stay in. It’s right by the tram to miyajima, and the atomic dome and museum are about a 20-minute walk away.

There are plenty of transit options nearby, and for the price the quality felt like a steal. I’d stay here again and recommend it to anyone I know visiting Hiroshima. Everything was incredibly clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and very hospitable, and the AC was great. Beds were comfortable, showers were clean with strong water pressure, and the bathrooms and laundry areas were kept very clean. They provide a clean bath towel each day. The bar downstairs had some top shelf Japanese liqours, and a small breakfast is included on week days.
