The staff were genuinely kind and helpful, and the rooms felt spacious, clean, and nicely furnished in a Japanese style. Some even have a washing machine and a small kitchen, which would be handy for a longer stay. It feels more like serviced apartments than a classic hotel. The main drawback was the noise: the building sits beside a busy road with rough asphalt, and the windows and glass didn't block the traffic well, especially at night.

The location worked well for getting around. The tram and bus stops are about five minutes away, Shin-Hakushima station is a ten-minute walk, and a cab from the main shinkansen station was around 1000 ¥. That makes day trips to Miyajima easy. My room was clean and spacious, with what I needed for a few nights. The welcome at reception was especially warm. They held my luggage and let me know the room would be ready earlier than expected, so I checked in about half an hour ahead of time without an extra charge. I slept fine the first night, but traffic outside bothered me a bit the second night, even with earplugs. I know that depends on how sensitive you are to street noise. It's not luxurious, but if sounds don't bother you much, I don't see a reason to avoid staying here.

The reception staff member Radha was rude, and I think he should pay more attention to his attitude and appearance. I spent a few days in Hiroshima and found everyone else nice and polite. They'd be better off hiring a local receptionist. My stay was unpleasant. There was also noise from a nearby railway, and the air conditioning wasn't cool enough or adjustable.

I really liked the room, its modern facilities, and how convenient everything was. There was a little kitchen too, so I could pick up groceries at the supermarket and cook for myself. The owner and receptionist were very nice, and the helpers knew good places to enjoy around the city.

Buses stop almost right outside, and the local station isn't far away. I'd stay again. The staff were helpful, spoke English, and did their best to accommodate me. They explained that I could check out later for an extension fee, which wasn't an unreasonable amount. I also left my bags at reception on checkout day so I could explore a bit more before leaving town. My room was clean, comfortable, and just like the listing on booking.com. I was travelling alone and felt safe. There was a washing machine and kitchen equipment in the room, though I didn't use them. They also had nice little extras like pyjamas, slippers, and basic toiletries. If you have the budget, I'd go for a pricier room. The wooden bath was lovely after a long day of travelling and hiking, and the upper floors have a great view of the city.
