Echizenya Hotel (Niigata)

Dinner was really good.

We used the hotel for a meal at my father's memorial service. The food was delicious and reasonably priced, and the guests we invited gave it a thumbs up too. Thanks very much to all the staff. I'd like to come back if I get the chance.

I chose this hotel one station away after I couldn't find a suitable place near Tsubame-Sanjo, where some kind of event seemed to be happening. It's close to the station and fits the retro townscape. The staff were all friendly, which left me with a good impression. I had some concerns about the room smell and WiFi security, but I still stayed comfortably. They sell beer at the front desk and provide delicious Sanjo water. The bed area also had outlets and light switches nearby, and the single room had a sofa in addition to the bed and desk chair.

Breakfast was the best, with lots of little dishes that tasted great and extra rice if you wanted it. It was only 500 yen for ethics participants, which is a great deal.
