Hiroshima Hostel EN

I’m staying for three nights. The ground-floor bar is fine, and the free drinks are nice. Staff are welcoming, and the atmosphere is good. The bed curtain is a bit of a problem because it doesn’t block the view into the bed. There are only two bathrooms, and right now it can be hard to get access to one.

The people working here are super friendly, and it’s close to the train station. It was cheap and had everything I needed. I’d recommend it.

Bring an eye mask if you’re a light sleeper. The bed covers aren’t really curtains, they’re shaped like jeans and have holes that let people see in and light shine through. The room is a little small, and there’s nowhere to lock away proper luggage.

I got invited to a Bar-b-q near the river, where I ate good food, spent time with staff and other guests, and lit some fireworks. The hostel has social events, and it was easy to chat with the two lovely people working there as well as the guests in the common room when I checked in. I arrived to an empty place, then was greeted by them and soon felt at home. It was clean, organized, and quiet enough for a good night’s sleep. I’d stay here whether traveling with others or on my own, and I’ll definitely come back when the time comes. Thank you Kou and Yuna for a great experience!
