LAZULI Hiroshima Hotel&Lounge

The kids could run around at the little play park just across the street, and we found restaurants nearby, including a Coco curry that they loved. Our family of four stayed in a tatami suite, which worked out perfectly. It’s about a seven-minute walk to Hiroshima station, so it was easy to get around and explore.

The evening sake tasting and a bit of chat with the receptionist were a lovely touch. I also liked the inexpensive breakfast bagel and hearing where the locally sourced food came from. The staff were especially attentive, and I felt more welcome here than at any of the other six hotels I stayed at in Japan. It’s a small, pleasant hotel in a convenient but quiet spot. They offered earplugs at check-in, though I didn’t need them. I loved my short stay, and Lazuli will be my first choice next time I’m in Hiroshima. I hope I can stay longer.

Our Tatami Suite double room had plenty of room to sit and store our things, plus a balcony with a lovely river view. It was spacious and well equipped. The staff were extremely welcoming, polite, and helpful. We stayed in October 2025 at this wonderful little hotel in a quiet neighborhood, around a ten-minute walk from Hiroshima train station. I’d highly recommend it.

We loved the balcony and the beds were amazing. The room was so spacious and had everything we needed, including air conditioning, a humidifier, an onsen-style shower and bath, and a TV. The people running the hotel were super sweet, and for what you get, it’s great value. This was the best hotel we’ve had in Japan so far. Sending love from Amsterdam.
