Mielparque Hiroshima Hotel

Ms. Inada spent a lot of time helping me sort out a luggage issue. I felt bad about taking up so much of her time, but she stayed patient and kept a lovely smile. The other front desk staff were friendly too. Their help made my stay a great experience.

The staff were nice and the location was really convenient, but I wouldn't stay here again if I returned. The hotel feels in need of an update: carpets around the building were stained, and the duvet covers should be replaced. Both rooms I tried had cleaning problems. The first bathroom was dirty, and in the second room there was someone else's hair on the sheets. Even the nonsmoking rooms smelled of smoke.

The service and breakfast helped make up for the dated rooms. Some of them had a slight cigarette smell, though the facilities in the room were alright.

The room was spacious by Japanese standards and clean, apart from dust on the air vents and a damp smell from the shower curtain. The hotel and rooms are a little worn, but the location is excellent, right by Peace park and the bus and tram stops. I'd stay here again if I were in the area.
