Toyoko Inn Hitachi Ekimae

If you’ve got luggage and don’t want to carry it around Hitachi, this is a great place to book. Toyoko Inn Hitachi Ekimae is right in front of the station and next to Hitachi’s shopping centre. The staff were excellent, the room was clean, and breakfast was included, along with some soup late at night. The beds and pillows are very firm, though that’s standard for Japanese hotels. The price was a little higher than I’d have liked for that time of year and area, but you’re paying for the convenient location.

At just 50 meters from Hitachi station, Toyoko Inn Hitachi Ekimae makes it easy to get to and from the hotel, even with luggage. The rooms are clean and have the necessary amenities, though they’re a little smaller than at other Japanese business hotels. There’s no dress shelf, and space for luggage is limited, so it’s best suited to short business trips or vacations. The front desk area has a spacious hall where you can have the complimentary breakfast. There’s also a drink vending machine, coffee machine, microwave, and coin laundry on the first floor. Each room has its own Wi-Fi connection with a separate SSID and password. You can book or cancel breakfast using the room TV, and the hotel has a no-food-wastage policy. Selecting or deselecting food options on the TV is easy and effective.

My colleagues and I stayed at Toyoko Inn, near Hitachi train station, and could easily get to our conference at Ibaraki Christian University. The facilities were complete, and both the bedroom and toilet were in good condition. They provided free toiletries and working heaters. The free all-you-can-eat breakfast was especially delicious. I’d definitely recommend it.

Perfect stay. Tokyoko Inn is great, and there’s a convenience store very close by. The lady staff were very good, they deserve a raise.
