The rooms were very comfortable, and the place was nice and clean. For our one-night stay, the shared bathrooms and sink areas worked fine. Dinner was tasty and plentiful, mostly vegetables, which we appreciated since we don't get many vegetables in Osaka. We used a private onsen for soaking. I would've liked it to feel more traditional, as it seemed a bit dated, but the showers had amazing pressure. They provided traditional clothing, a couple of towels, and a toothbrush. It's in a quiet town. If you arrive early and need lunch, you can head to the temple and pick some up on the way.

This was the highlight of my trip, and easily the coolest place I've been to in Japan. It felt so traditional, peaceful, beautiful, and quiet, and the surrounding nature added even more charm. The onsen was fabulous, the staff were very friendly, and the food was great.

Taro the dog was a lovely surprise, and the food, staff, and service were all amazing. Staying here became one of the best parts of my trip. If you’ve never tried this kind of accommodation, make this your first. You won’t forget it.
