The family running the hostel were the highlight for me, so kind, welcoming, and always around if you wanted help or a chat. The facilities were spotless, with a fully equipped kitchen and modern appliances, and the location is hard to beat. There’s a great choice of surfboards for different skill levels too. I had an outstanding stay and can’t recommend the place highly enough. Thanks for a wonderful experience!

Pumping Surf is a super cozy hostel, nicely designed with all the light bulbs. We had a great stay in this relaxing spot for surfing in Japan. The beach was an easy walk through the forest, and the owner gave us a great lesson, really kind and skilled at teaching.

We were comfortable here, and the owner was very friendly. The place was a little tricky to find, but with a car it’s fine, since supermarkets and some good restaurants are only five minutes away. There are two rooms. Two friends and I used one, while a Japanese couple had the other. We shared the kitchen, living room, and bathroom. Our room had enough room to relax with three people, and would probably be fine for four.

We arrived around 8pm without a reservation, and that was no problem. We left early in the morning, but I still liked the place. There were lots of surfboards, everything was clean, and the kitchen was well equipped. The bunk beds had curtains, and there were free bicycles to borrow. Good hostel.

The beach is just a few minutes away on foot, and you can surf there. The owners were really nice and helpful. The place itself is beautiful and very clean.
