After the ride from bungo-ono, this affordable hotel had the comfortable room and everything else we needed. Parking was easy too.

Stayed January 11, 2026. The building is old, though I was comfortable during my stay. It's conveniently near the bar district. The foreign staff member at the counter was polite when I checked in, but the Japanese woman didn't even greet me and came across as unfriendly. If she doesn't like customer service, maybe she should quit.

The room felt like an older business hotel, and it was small. For the price it was reasonable, but neglected fixtures and poor cleaning took away from the stay. There was tape on the switch beside the pillow saying not to use it, apparently because an air conditioner had been installed instead. I didn't realize the switch controlled the fan and used it for a while. The control box was annoying too: the radio wouldn't come on, its switch was off, and the clock showed the wrong time. The fridge had a cord meant to be plugged in when needed, but there was no outlet close by, so I had to use the power strip behind the TV. The bath drain cover had been left off. Those three issues especially hurt the hotel's image. There was mold in several spots on the bathroom curtain. The slippers were the usual toilet kind, and even with an antibacterial label I didn't want to wear them. The radio control box was right next to the pillow. With the location and price, the hotel should have plenty of customers, and a few improvements would make it much better.

I booked breakfast with my room for a short holiday, but at check-in found out it had been changed to room only. The restaurant is closed on Thursdays, so the breakfast wasn't valid. Keep that in mind if you're staying on a Thursday. The building is old but seemed clean. Dinner options include plenty of nearby izakayas, so it's worth looking one up in advance. The bath gets hot water right away, so be careful not to burn yourself. Amenities are sparse: there's rinse-in shampoo and body soap, but only toothbrushes otherwise, so women may want to bring their own shampoo and other items. If you just need somewhere to sleep, it was fine.
