APA Hotel Naha Airport Wakasa

The one real plus is the low price. The hotel is in a strange spot in the red-light district, about 13 minutes from the monorail station and eight minutes from the airport bus stop. Service was okay, but the front desk right by the entrance felt unpleasant. Staff often seemed to hide behind their computer screens instead of greeting guests. I can’t say if that was intentional, but that was how it came across. The room is spacious, but the so-called King Bed Room has two single beds pushed together. There’s no coil or support in the middle, so lying in the gap is uncomfortable. I found that annoying and wondered whether APA makes this setup clear on its website. There was also a hair stuck to the bathroom wall and a cracker on the floor that I hadn’t eaten. I’ve seen this poor level of cleanliness at some APA hotels, and I suspect non-Japanese staff may miss these things. The 1,200¥ breakfast was well made.
