A good option near Ritsumakan university. The room was basic, clean, and functional, with a good bed and shower. There are lots of restaurants nearby, as well as Aeon Mall.

I found the staff very friendly, though the ones I met didn’t speak English. The contemporary room is Western style and has the amenities I’d expect in a typical hotel in North America or Western Europe. It’s also a good size by Japanese standards, and Ibaraki train station is right next door, about a 3 minute walk.
