I'm staying here now, and I'm extremely disappointed. The sink won't drain, and after the stopper is closed, it won't open again. There's no caretaker on site. I called the hotel's number before 6 p.m. and got no answer, then walked to the adjacent golf course's front desk, only to find it locked and empty. I can't wash my face, hands, or teeth like this. There's no tissue in the room, and the wooden chair is broken, so I can't lean back. There was a stink bug on the white curtain; I sprayed it with the room's insecticide, but it was completely dried out, so it seems it was a cicada's exoskeleton all along. Wi-Fi doesn't work at all, either. Breakfast is included, but there was no information about it, and the room lighting is very dim. Check-in and checkout are unmanned, and the golf course next door is also unattended after 6 p.m. What would happen if there were a fire? I'm so disappointed I don't even want to give it one star.

We stayed on a Thursday during the art festival in mid-May and had the whole building to ourselves, which was fantastic. I was amazed by the golf course right in front, and the stars at night were beautiful. The futons had two fluffy layers and were incredibly comfortable. I also appreciated that the room bathroom had a lock and that the hotel seemed to have improved on issues mentioned in earlier reviews. I had the porridge for breakfast, and it was delicious and plentiful. The view from the breakfast venue was especially lovely, and I wished we could eat on the balcony. The shower worked well for my 156 cm height. Men might find it cramped, but I was just glad to have a shower in my room. Breakfast was included, the location was great, and at ¥6,000 per person for two, we were very satisfied. The staff were all kind. I'd asked beforehand because I was worried about the gate opening and closing, and when I came back around 9 p.m., it was still open. It felt like they had left it open for us (^^). I'd stay again ♪

I had a relaxing stay in a Japanese-style room with a loft. The loft was bigger than I'd expected, with two futons already laid out. There were towels and other amenities, but no bathrobes, so keep that in mind. The terrace had a table and chairs and was a pleasant place to sit. I don't play golf, but watching was fun. There are a lot of golf courses nearby, so I got a little lost, and the entrance was hard to spot. When I found it, I was told to check in at the hotel next door.

Breakfast was delicious, and the kids seemed to enjoy the loft. The adults couldn't relax there, though. The walls are thin, so we heard voices from the next room and noise from the stairs. We also found two cockroaches in room 105.

I stayed here for a fishing trip to Takataki Lake. The price was reasonable, and they were flexible when I changed the booking from one person to two on arrival day. The place was clean and the shower pressure was excellent. Still, I called around 5 p.m. the day before to ask about adding a guest, but it was outside business hours. The futon mattress was so thin on the Ryukyu-style tatami that my body ached; a proper mattress would help. There was only a tiny shower booth, no bathtub, probably because the golf course has a bathhouse. The room TV only had a Fire TV Stick plugged in, so commercial channels weren't available, probably to avoid NHK reception fees. Noise from the next room carried clearly, and the toilet door had no lock. We were two men in a four-person room, and even though this isn't a love hotel, the toilet still had no lock. The clubhouse dining hall closes after 2 p.m., and dinner is only available as a pre-ordered bento for 2,500 yen. There are no room-only plans, so the breakfast ticket goes unused if you're leaving early to fish. Breakfast starts at 6:30 a.m. on weekends and holidays. If you leave early, the entrance gate is shut and you have to get out of the car to open it. At first glance, the photos and building look chic, but the interior finish is shoddy. There's a sizable gap between the wooden baseboards and floor, and the trim by the room entrance step is clearly a different kind. It gives the impression they ran out and bought something from a home improvement store. The indirect light on the shelf under the TV window has exposed wiring and converters, with connections wrapped in electrical tape. The thin toilet door isn't airtight, so sounds carry. The wallpaper has a sand-like, diatomaceous-earth feel, but looks cheap and stains your hands if you touch it. The hanging scrolls on the ceiling and walls match and look chic, but the curtains don't, which seems like a missed opportunity. It looks well done at first, but you can see the site director's checks were lax. For a hotel built on a golf course for people using the course, the facilities are adequate. Just know you'll need to bring dinner or go out and buy it. If everyone wants to drink with dinner, you'll need a designated driver service, a taxi, or your own alcohol. And those futons are so thin...
