Raicho Lodge Madarao

We spent a week at Raicho lodge with our three daughters and would definitely come back. The location made it easy to walk to ski school, the runs, and plenty of good restaurants. We loved coming back to the cozy lodge, with the fire going, great staff, and drinks waiting. The rooms were a good size and very comfortable, and the kitchen, laundry, and big drying room were handy.

Madarao had amazing snow without the crowds, and the ski fields were an easy walk from Raicho Lodge. The staff were friendly and knew their stuff, and breakfast was great. After a big day on the snow, the lodge’s bar and open fire made a perfect spot to relax.

The lodge is bright and airy, good value, and in a great spot near a beginner run. The staff are fantastic. I’d highly recommend ski or board lessons with Col. There’s something for everyone at the resort, and we didn’t see any lift queues.

We loved our week at Raicho Lodge in February 2020. The beds and rooms were incredibly comfortable, and the guest service team, especially Kaity, Brayden and Jeff, made us feel welcome. They were accommodating and understanding, and did everything they could to give us a great stay. Breakfast was quite good, especially the waffles, but the evening meal at the Raicho Supper Club was the real food highlight. The local produce was showcased beautifully. We had to wait four days before we could get a table, so book early. We only discovered the huge marshmallows for toasting by the fire near the end of our stay, and they were the best. We absolutely loved Raicho Lodge and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it for a Madapow snow adventure.
