We were a big group with several families and kids, and having the whole place to ourselves meant loads of room. The kitchen had plenty of equipment, so we could prepare our own meals and keep costs down. The owner, Masa, was very accommodating and helped us many times, making everything go smoothly. I don't understand earlier reviews saying the owner was the opposite, we had no problems at all. The place wasn't fancy and felt fairly rustic, but for a trip with friends or a larger group, I'd recommend it and would stay again in a heartbeat. Thanks for a great stay, Masa.

Masa was kind and helpful, and even cleared snow away from our cars. We came with a few families for a ski weekend and found the linens clean, with no problems. It’s a cozy Japanese mountain inn, nothing fancy, though the ski gear is pretty old. I’d recommend it.

The place has potential, but the owner seems to put very little effort into running it. The rental ski gear was subpar, and when the cleaners came as we were getting ready to leave, the sheets hadn’t been changed. That’s disgusting, and it makes me wonder how long they’re normally used. We had to dig our cars out even though the owner had a backhoe. Then, while we were shoveling, he told us not to put snow in the street, but there wasn’t anywhere else to put it. The service was poor and the whole experience was disgusting.

The slopes are right in front of the house, and they rent out ski gear too. The owner speaks Thai and was really kind and helpful, with recommendations for everything. The house is spacious and reasonably priced, with a huge kitchen and dining room.

Getting to the ski slopes is easy and convenient. The villa is beautiful and has a lovely atmosphere.
