Guest House LAMP Iki - Hostel

We were on level 3 and loved the Japanese-style rooms. The staff were so kind and gave us lots of recommendations. The optional sauna and private rooftop bath were great and well worth the ¥3000 per person. The location is fantastic. Thanks, guys! We'd stay again and recommend it.

A heads-up about the town: since it's a small fishing place, a local alarm goes off on the loudspeakers around 6 or 7 in the morning. I can't remember the exact time, and the hotel staff can't control it. Otherwise, we had a really nice stay and hope to return. My girlfriend and I were very happy we chose this hotel. The staff went above and beyond, and we got a free upgrade to the nicest room, which was absolutely beautiful. Breakfast was excellent and fun, with local food and fish you grill yourself. Delicious! The local brewery downstairs was very good too.

The rooftop sauna was a perfect way to finish our stay. We also had our best meal of the Japan holiday at the brewery and restaurant next door, where they cooked with Iki ingredients. The staff were super friendly and accommodating. We hadn't known much about Iki before choosing to stay there, but its beauty and the hotel really blew us away. We loved the traditional Japanese exterior alongside modern, spacious interiors.

The bar lounge is in a separate building, where you can try Iki liquor until 23:00 for only 1,000 yen. People gather there and make friends. This modern yet traditional hostel is in a 90-year-old wooden building. I heard it opened in 2018, and it's very clean with a lovely smell of wood. Definitely want to stay here again!
