The rooms have useful touches: heating and air conditioning are controlled from a remote, the bedside console handles all the lights, and there are USB and regular outlets by the bed and desk, plus a refrigerator. The rooms are spacious enough, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel parking is an easy walk, about 90 seconds away, and the Jetfoil Ferry Terminal is roughly 12 minutes on foot. But the noise is a real problem. Traffic and people heading to and from the local bars can be heard very loudly, which is the main reason I gave it three stars. The windows are single-pane, and the walls are thin, with no insulation to keep out sound or hold the temperature. Earplugs are available in the lobby. Google Maps lists the hotel only in Kanji, so foreigners need to search for "Iki Island Hub Hotel" in Roman letters.

The bathroom is fully separate from the main room, with a little split at the entrance, and I liked having a desk. The room was clean and spacious, and the internet was very good considering the location. I also liked that the fluorescent light could be adjusted through several settings, including a very bright one. At night, though, some streetlight came through the paper-style curtain. Darker blackout curtains would help. Still, I highly recommend the place!
The room felt new and was well cared for, even though the building itself is older. This is a comfortable, very affordable hotel near Gonoura port, and local people seem to know it and think highly of it. The service was great for us. The staff made an effort to speak English, even though we were the only foreigners there.
Really good service, and a nice place to stay! (=´∀`)people(´∀`=)
I used this hotel as a base while visiting Iki Island, staying in Gonoura between Gonoura and Ashibe. The place is described as an innovated ryokan, but it doesn't feel dated or old-fashioned. Service is minimal, though the amenities and unit bathroom are there. Its spot near the center of Gonoura, the busiest area of Iki, means restaurants and souvenir shops are close by. It worked perfectly for sightseeing around the island from Gonoura.
