Imabari Sanbashi Bus Terminal is only about a 250 m walk away, and it’s the first stop for the Cycle Express bus to Onomichi, where you can bring your bike. Check the timetable first. There are also buses to Hiroshima and cities like Tokyo, so look up those schedules online too. Imabari Castle is about a 10-minute walk away. The building is old but well cared for, and the room was clean and spacious. Handy if you need an early morning bus.

The staff were a big help, and I could park my motorcycle under the building. The price was cheap, which really helped. Breakfast was simple, with rice balls in limited quantities and bread. Laundry cost 300 yen per wash, detergent included, and the dryer was 100 yen for 30 minutes. I stayed here on a camping trip. Having a bathroom and toilet meant no setting up or packing away a campsite. I had a few minor complaints, though nothing in particular, and was totally fine with them.
