The room was spacious and comfortable, and having the bicycle rental shop right next door made this a handy base for starting or finishing the Shimanami Kaido. Imabari Station is just outside, so getting in and out was easy. The staff were friendly and spoke English well. There’s a Lawson right outside, plus a well-stocked amenity bar by reception. We liked the complimentary drinks from 6-9 pm, with several options. There are restaurants nearby, but we picked up dinner at a konbini and ate it in the lounge with our drinks.

The staff were so helpful, and they arranged to send our luggage on to our next hotel in Onomichi without any fuss. It made for a lovely start to our ride, and we’d happily come back. The hotel is convenient for both the bike rental centre and train station. Breakfast had a good mix of Japanese and Western dishes, and every evening from 6-9 there was a free bar with spirits, sake, and red and white wine. It was a nice place to sit and chat, and they looked after us really well.

After a 65-mile ride, the evening welcome bar was a great way to unwind, and they even had a rehydration drink. Our room looked out over Kurushima Kaikyo bridge. Check-in was quick, and our transferred luggage was already ready to collect. The staff were terrific. Highly recommend.

The room was large, clean, and comfortable, with air conditioning that lets you choose the mode yourself instead of relying on central controls. Staff were friendly and helpful, and welcome drinks were available. They can also forward luggage the same day. I’d stay here again if I’m in Imabari.

Quiet area, clean rooms with no cigarette smell, and lots of useful amenities, from soda and coffee to alcohol, bath items, and toiletries. The front desk service was great. Lawson is right outside, and the hotel is beside JR Imabari station, the Imabari-Fukuyama bus stop, and the Shimanami Kaido Bicycle Rental and Return centre. I can’t think of any downsides. I’d stay again if I’m in Imabari. Still wondering what else there is to do here...
