Central Hotel Imari

It’s a pretty ordinary business hotel, and the breakfast is maybe a little above average. The sauna and onsen are really outstanding, though.

The onsen next door is a real highlight, and guests get free access. It has a hot indoor bath, a hot outdoor bath, an ice bath, and a sauna, plus a free drink fountain for afterwards. Breakfast is included, though the western options felt a bit sparse compared with how it was advertised as Japanese and western. The hotel itself has lots of good amenities and very friendly, helpful staff. The atmosphere is somewhat bland and the rooms look a little dated. Shops and restaurants are an easy walk away, and customer parking is free.

The spa beside the hotel is great, and there are places to eat and a market nearby. The place is clean and nice, with breakfast and good service. My room was very small and had no ventilation. There was mold in the bathroom, and I could smell it in the room.

I stayed at CENTRAL HOTEL IMARI recently and found the toilet area poorly maintained. There was dust and grime around the towel rack and mirror, plus visible staining along the door frame. Black and brown spots covered the walls, which looked like they could be mold or dirt. An unusual odor lingered as well, and breathing the air there seemed harmful to the human respiratory system. The toilet fell far below the hygiene standard I’d expect in Japan, where cleanliness is usually meticulous. I hope management deals with it soon.
