Breakfast bread was delicious after a quick warm-up in the oven, and the hospitality was lovely. 💗 This detached log cabin near Inawashiro Ski Resort has a kitchen and tableware, which makes it a handy choice for families or friends. Highly recommended.

We stayed in Building 16, a clean, well-kept two-story place with a high-ceilinged living room. The grounds are roomy too, so we could leave the living room curtains open without feeling exposed. There was enough space between buildings that we felt comfortable letting the kids play. The kitchen equipment and dishes were just as clean as the rest of the building, and we had no trouble cooking. Slippers, shampoo, toothpaste, and other amenities weren’t in the room, but we were given them at check-in. There was also a BBQ grill and charcoal lighter on the terrace, though we didn’t use them in winter. The bedrooms are split into two areas, but one has no wall separating it from the living room, so it doesn’t offer much privacy. Since the buildings seem to vary, that’s worth checking. I think this one works best for a single family.

The room was clean, the service was perfect, and getting to the Inawashiro slopes was easy. The slope drainage was great too. Best!

We come back every summer to make memories, and I stayed here again this year after several previous visits. It’s handy that you can pick from different cottage styles based on your group size. The buildings vary, so that’s something to factor in when choosing. You can park right outside your building, which makes unloading easy. Benimaru, Kawachi, convenience stores, and local supermarkets aren’t far away, so getting food for a barbecue is simple. I haven’t tried them, but apparently you can pay extra to rent a play area or a beer server. They also provide little useful things like tissue boxes, towels, and sponges.
