It’s close to the train station. The room and bathroom had an old-fashioned style, but I really enjoyed staying there. It was clean and spacious. The elevator closes a little quickly, which is tricky, but kind of fun too.

The view from the window of the castle and the Temple was really beautiful. The room felt like stepping into an old male relative’s home, which made it interesting to see what a standard room used to be like, and it’s definitely one you won’t forget. The old male smell was noticeable, but the room spray took care of it, and it didn’t bother me. The location is good too. If the price is right, I’d stay again.

I booked this place because it was inexpensive and close to Inuyama Station, where I needed to catch the bus to Meiji Village during Golden Week. It was under 7,000 yen even then, and the front desk staff were kind. The plan was room only, but that wasn’t a problem: there’s a 24-hour Matsuya and Matsunoya on the way from the station. I wondered if the nearby Matsuya was why meals aren’t offered. Honestly, its breakfast sets are cheap, you can eat your fill with unlimited rice refills, and the morning market is fine. This branch has been renovated, so it’s clean and more spacious than other locations, a relaxed place to eat. For a more gourmet dinner, walk about 400-500 meters west from the hotel to Inuyama Castle Town, where there are plenty of restaurants. If you just need somewhere to sleep, this hotel is perfectly adequate, with Matsuya close by, so there’s practically no problem. For Meiji Village, head to the station’s East Exit on the far side and use the north bus stop, the one closer to you out of the two. I took the first bus of the morning, and there was already quite a queue 20 minutes before departure. On weekends and holidays, get to the stop a little earlier than planned. For Little World, you have a pretty good chance of getting a seat even if you arrive five minutes before the bus leaves.

The room felt a little old, but it was comfortable and clean. I could see Inuyama Castle from the room, and it was nice to have complimentary coffee. The hotel is close to the station, and Inuyama Castle is within walking distance, so it’s very convenient. One small disappointment was that there were no power outlets on the bed boards, though that makes sense given the room’s age.

I stayed here while sightseeing in Inuyama. The facilities are old, which made it hard to get the water temperature right. But compared with other hotels I’ve stayed in this time of year, there was hardly any temperature difference between the room and bathroom, which I liked. I’ve also been in hotels where the bathroom was extremely cold, so I wonder if the building’s construction has something to do with it.
