FOLK FOLK Hostel, Cafe & Bar

A lovely, clean place with a good vibe, close to two sanctuaries and Meoto Iwa. The people were friendly, and there were books plus a shared microwave and fridge. Thanks a lot 👌

I came before check-in and stopped at the coffee place next to the hostel. The table we chose hadn't been cleaned yet. Staff walked past without doing anything. We waited ten minutes for two coffees and a brownie that was already made. A girl came by with a cup to serve the DJ instead. The music was awful, just average lounge music, and I think she'd still have been chatting with the DJ if I hadn't called her over to ask about our order. When I complained about the dirty table and the delay, she didn't even say sorry. That felt strange by Japanese standards. I don't recommend the place, either the hostel or especially the cafe. It's far from everything, and the staff seemed completely bored and unprepared. Just don't.

Ise has a lovely, affordable place to stay here, with a beautiful atmosphere that feels thoughtfully created and really nice staff. It would make a great little haven for hosting a wedding or a party with friends, with affordable accommodation too.

They really looked after us and were flexible about what we wanted. We booked our wedding there for next month, and they were very accommodating to our needs.
