The room was tiny, but clean and nicely equipped, and I liked the orthopedic-style pillows. They’re thin by Western standards, though still better than the hard Japanese bean-filled ones. It’s a fairly new place in a quiet spot near the station, with a supermarket and a few restaurants nearby. Works fine as a low-cost business hotel.

Very compact and clean for a one-night stay. Booking through the hotel’s own website gets you a special gift, and there’s free parking too. Spaces are limited, but it’s still nice to have.

The building is getting old, but the location makes this a good fit. It’s right by the train station, with plenty of restaurants within walking distance, and the hotel has its own breakfast. It’s a typical Japanese business hotel: it covers what you need, and the service is what you’d expect from this kind of place.

Breakfast comes with the stay, though it wasn’t quite to Western tastes. It was okay, but you can find better food outside. The hotel is only about a two-minute walk from the train station. My room was spacious, with a large front room containing a couch or futon. Like the other hotels I stayed at in Japan, Apa had a short bed. A nice, roomy three-star hotel, and I’d stay here again if I were in the area.

The building is a little old, but the location is great, right near Isehara station.
