There isn’t much privacy in the bedrooms shared by six people, so it’s best for anyone who’s comfortable sharing a room. I stayed two nights and had a nice experience. The owners were kind, and for a guest house the service was good, with hot showers and clean sheets.

This was the worst experience I’ve had. My flight arrived in Ishigaki at 20:25, and I got to the hotel at 21:00, but they wouldn’t let me check in. If no staff member is there, I understand that check-in isn’t possible. But the staff member kept asking why I was late and why I hadn’t replied to the message. I explained that I’d been on the delayed flight, so how was I supposed to respond while I was in the air? After hearing that, he just said it was the rule and refused to let me in. He was there, but didn’t help at all. Does this place have no late check-in policy? He’d have been better off not coming to speak to me, or telling me he was staff.

It was clean and in a good location, but I didn’t have a good experience. There were no lockers, and the dorm rooms didn’t have any security to close them.

Worst service I’ve ever had in Japan. If you can’t solve the problem, at least don’t speak to a guest so rudely.

The service was bad. Talking with the staff made it clear how poor it was.
