Kumamoto Station Hotel

The staff were wonderful. I brought my luggage downstairs late at night to arrange delivery, gave them the details, and they handled everything. I only needed to pay the next day before checkout. They also contacted us after we’d left Kumamoto to let us know we’d forgotten a wallet and some clothes in the room. Since our bags were being sent to the next hotel, they offered to put those things in the luggage. I really appreciated their honesty and care. The hotel is a short walk from Kumamoto station and shopping malls. It isn’t very new, and some things feel old-fashioned, like not having self-service laundry.

The lobby is spacious and nice, and the hotel is conveniently close to the station. Staff were okay, though not especially friendly. The room was smaller than I expected and the lights were much too bright. The bathroom felt very dated, with a fan that barely seemed to work. Amenities were fine, but you have to pick them up in the lobby, and there’s no moisturizer.

The staff were fantastic, especially when we explained our food allergies at the hotel restaurant. The floor and kitchen teams went well beyond what we expected to check that our meal was safe, which we really appreciated. Our room was spacious, clean, and nicely renovated. The location was super convenient, beside a mall with lots of food options, and public transport just outside takes you to some tourist attractions. We were driving, and the car park is directly behind the hotel. An amazing stay, highly recommend.

Right next to Kumamoto Station, so it’s very handy for getting around, with shops, restaurants, and transport easy to reach. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful.
