Hotel Fit In Ishigakijima

Only the third floor has an ocean view. The first and second floor rooms look larger, though, even without that view. We found the place easily by using the cat cafe next door as a landmark. It's about a 10-minute drive from the airport, and Chinen Shokai, known for its Onisasa (sea cucumber) sashimi, is nearby. You can get here by bus from the airport, with plenty of services. Getting groceries takes a bit more thought: the nearest convenience store is within walking distance, but you'll need to buy provisions at the Family Mart inside the airport. Matsubara Tempura and other deli shops and restaurants are also walkable. The password system means you can let yourself into the room from check-in through checkout without meeting staff. The rooms were clean and had everything we needed, including a large fridge, washing machine, and dryer. First-floor rooms allow BBQs, and if you bring your own ingredients, tableware and disposable chopsticks are provided.

We were five in the family, and there were five beds, so nobody felt cramped. The room was very clean, perhaps because the place hasn't been open long, and it had lots of amenities. I thought it was good value, and I'd definitely stay again if I return to Ishigaki Island.

It's brand new, and even the ceilings are spotless. They had everything, right down to laundry detergent, except knives. There was also a USB port and a floor wiper, so I really couldn't complain. I never had any contact with the staff. If I'm being picky, the bathtub is small and the pillow didn't have quite the right cushioning.

That ocean view from room 201 really gave me a sense of nature's energy. The room was tidy and very clean. I'd stay here again on another trip to Ishigaki Island.
