We stayed two nights and three days as a family of five, with our three kids. The owner was so friendly and kind. On the first day he gave us a big fireworks set and even got the BBQ ready for us. Our room looked out at the ocean, and we’d love to return. We heard that Alex speaks four languages!

You’ll need a rental car because it’s a little way from the city center. For a few nights, though, it’s handy to have the refrigerator, kitchenette, and washing machine. The rooms and beds are spacious, so a family of four or five can fit comfortably and affordably in a family room.

The BBQ, location, chance to spend time with animals, and well-equipped facilities were all great, but what really won our kids over was how well the owner looked after us. They’re already begging to come back. We chose this place because the reviews were good and stayed four nights over summer vacation, my wife and I with our two boys in upper elementary school. We were a bit nervous since we’d never stayed at one lodge for four nights straight before, but we were very glad we did. Best summer vacation ever.
