The host really went out of the way to help when we got a flat tire as we were leaving, finding a replacement and making sure we could continue safely. We had a wonderful night in this guest house, sleeping on tatami mats with a shikibuton. Dinner and breakfast were both delicious.

The setting is a beautiful, rustic farm, and the host gave me a lift from a local train station on short notice, then dropped me wherever I wanted to go. The food alone made the accommodation price more than worthwhile. The host is a gourmet chef, and that dinner and breakfast were among the best I've had in ages: nutritious, spectacularly presented, and full of different dishes and flavors. A must stay if you're visiting Tomi City or Komoro.

Book the meals if you can. They were incredible value in both quality and quantity. We had wagyu sukiyaki for dinner and were completely stuffed. The house is traditional, with cool, authentic decor, but they've got what you need to be comfortable. We also got free pickup and dropoff, including a ride to the local onsen in the evening. The home-cooked meals use local ingredients, and the atmosphere is relaxing, with a real countryside feel. It's a good experience whether it's your first time in Japan or your xxth year here, and the value is great. Try to fit in an activity like biking, walking a dog, or picking fruit to make the stay memorable.

A great way to experience countryside life in Japan as well as have a place to stay. The kind, friendly staff made it especially good, and Miyasaka-san was the most helpful person I've ever met. They offer pickup and dropoff at the bus station and shuttle rides to onsens. There is also a 'Goemon-buru' inside the building. Dinner and breakfast were full of fresh, organic, handmade Japanese slow food. They have two cute dogs you can walk, and a 'Kotatsu' that's perfect for snowy winter days. Highly recommend!

I booked Seiunkan on Airbnb without really knowing what to expect, but Kazu-san picked me up at the station and I immediately felt I was in good hands. Kazu-san was so hospitable, pointed me toward good places to see, drove me to the onsen, and cooked delicious food. I couldn't have asked for a better host. I'd recommend staying here if you're in the Komoro area.
