I couldn't get a good night's sleep once. The beds were tiny and uncomfortable, and the blinds let in too much daylight. The staff were a bright spot: they were really friendly and tried hard to help even though they didn't speak English. The area nearby felt dull, with the hotel by a gas station and a big solar panel array, and quite a distance from restaurants and nice beaches.

The private cottages were roomy and comfortable, and the people there were friendly and very helpful. Getting there by bus from the airport was easy. I'd happily stay again.

The place was clean and handy if you have a car, but the booking was frustrating. We had trouble reserving through LINE and then confirmed a 10% discount by phone, only to find it wasn't applied at check-in. That discount was why we chose the package with a rental car and fishing trip, and the trip was later canceled because of a boat problem. Once the discount was missing, the car worked out much more expensive than renting at the airport, especially with ¥4,500 in round-trip taxi fare. I'd use Times car at the airport instead. Reception on the property was poor, and the room Wi-Fi barely reached beyond the sofa room near the router. We got little or no internet in the bedroom, about 10m away.

The apartment was clean, had what we needed, and fit two people. We went in January, when it wasn't very busy, and check-in was simple: we left our bags, borrowed some good bikes, and explored the island. The staff were friendly, and things went smoothly despite their limited English. It's 700m to a supermarket, 2km to a restaurant, and 5-6km from the city center, so the location isn't ideal. Still, the price is great for what you get. Good basics, no luxury.

The private cottages are spacious and really comfortable. Everyone was friendly and helpful, and the bus from the airport makes getting here easy. I'd come back for sure.
