I found the hotel incredibly dirty and sleazy, and honestly felt like I was in a horror movie. I checked out within the first hour, took a train for 20 minutes to a better area, and booked a genuinely nice hotel for maybe $100 more total for four days. Be very careful about what you're getting when trying to save money. I can't see this place being worth it unless someone has a very specific reason to be there, I assume.

The room and stay were uncomfortable, and the price felt far too high for what you get. I was shocked by the hotel's low quality. There's only one women's bathroom in the whole building, and women's bath hours are much shorter than men's. That feels clearly discriminatory. If the service can't be the same for men and women, don't charge the same price.

For 2,000 Yen, about 20 Aussie, you get a single room with a mattress, air con, fridge, and TV. I liked the public bath, the "sento." The hotel's old and in poor condition, and Nishi Nari Ward is a rough area. Still, at 13 US dollars around Christmas, it was pretty good.

It's a low-budget place with clean rooms. The room feels like a prison, but if you need privacy and are brave enough, I'd recommend it. If there's such a thing as a one-star hotel, this is it. It's very close to dobutsumae station, with easy links to the airport, namba, and shinosaka stations.

Nothing fancy, but it's good value and well located for exploring Osaka.
