The rooms are new, spacious, and well designed, and the hotel looks very modern and appealing. Everything felt clean and high quality. The pool and sauna were definite highlights. Staff were generally polite and helpful, but service was limited and often self-service. Breakfast and dining were fair, though expensive for what you get. For the price, I expected more of a four-star experience, especially in Japan. The stylish design gives the feel of an international serviced apartment rather than a local resort, without much Japanese or Okinawan atmosphere. It also costs more than similar hotels on Ishigaki Island, yet there's no daily room cleaning or in-room dining, which was disappointing at this price point. Seven x seven Ishigaki is comfortable and stylish, but overpriced for the level of service. It may suit travelers who prioritize modern design and facilities, but could disappoint anyone looking for a traditional Japanese four-star hotel experience.

The room was spacious and well designed, with satisfactory amenities. We enjoyed the pool, and the sauna was a real highlight that let us fully relax. But the experience outside the room felt short of luxury. Check-in was just okay, service didn't exceed expectations, and the self-service setup felt more budget than we expected for the price. We had to deal with our own garbage and towels, and there was no cleaning service. We also had trouble getting around. There was no airport shuttle, and when a power outage made it impossible to call a taxi, staff could only suggest taking the bus, with no other solution. If stylish, roomy accommodation suits you and you don't mind looking after things yourself, seven x seven Ishigaki could work. My partner and I were comfortable in the room, but disappointed by the lack of luxury in the service and experience beyond it.

The staff were kind and great, and there was a 24-hour supermarket around the corner for anything else you need. The facilities were great, with two saunas, two hot tubs, two cold tubs, and a pool. A gym was the one thing missing 😀. The room was clean, comfortable, very spacious, and well equipped. One of the best hotels I've stayed at. I'd love to come back!

The restaurant deserves a mention, with excellent chefs, amazing food, and top service. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, even though the facility is self-service. We also loved the pool area and saunas. I relaxed there a lot and used the sauna every day. Our loft-like room was spacious and had everything we needed, including a fully stocked kitchen for self-catering. A few supplies could be added, and there's a supermarket open 24/7 within a ten-minute walk. One issue was the cutlery: it looks beautiful with wooden handles, but the handles smell quite bad when they get wet. We enjoyed our stay a lot, and at a price below the usual rate, it was absolutely worth it.
