Yadoya Lotus

Kabira bay is only about a five-minute walk away, and there are several diving and snorkeling schools nearby. Yonehara beach is also a short drive away. The location is convenient and the place feels unique. Our host was friendly and very helpful, and the room and shower were clean, with comfortable beds. The kitchen is small, but fine if you plan to eat out. We didn’t get to try their restaurant, though we’d heard good things about it. Thanks for a lovely stay 😻

The hosts made us feel so welcome, almost like we were staying with family, and the hospitality and food were a real highlight. We visited in summer 2023 during a three-week trip around Japan, and this ended up being one of the best parts of the trip. The facilities and location were amazing, too. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to enjoy Okinawa. Also, the resident dog Shuri is the sweetest 😄

The room was simple and clean, and our hosts were friendly. The food was the best we had on our Okinawa trip, truly out of this world. We ate both breakfast and dinner there. Don’t forget to try the jacuzzi.

Kabira Bay is an easy walk away, and the place is near the beach but removed from the bustle of town. It had the relaxed feel, local food and people, and beach access we were hoping for on Ishigaki. The room and hosts were part of one of the fondest memories from our three-week Japan trip. Masato and his wife were so kind and attentive, and made us feel welcome while looking after our needs. We’d gladly stay again, and would even come back to the island for it. We loved the local food they made: yakiniku, sashimi, Okinawan soba, tempura, and many other dishes that kept coming from the kitchen. It was all delicious and interesting, better than any restaurant we ate at on Ishigaki. Later we learned it’s Okinawan custom to set a table that’s impossible to finish, and that our hosts wouldn’t be offended if we left food. We also enjoyed being around their four friendly cats and dog, all part of the host family. Thank you again!
