The Japanese garden is huge and beautiful, with different trees, a river, bridges, and stone lanterns. I also loved the sauna, which gets extremely hot. Both the garden bath and the public bath were nice. The room was a little old but still in great shape, and the staff were lovely. They don't speak much English, but their enthusiasm and hospitality came through clearly. A really nice ryokan experience.

The room was roomy and comfortable, and the food was delicious at both meals. But the guest room, corridors, and dining area were all so cold that it was hard to enjoy dinner. Dinner service was confusing too: dishes arrived in a random order, with almost no explanation, and were set down from a distance. The sukiyaki and soup never came until we asked, and the response was, "Huh? Haven't they been served yet?" That was disappointing. Better serving and customer service would make the stay much more satisfying.

I used to come here often, including for day trips, because it was affordable, the baths were clean, and the sauna was great. That's why this is such a shame. A group of six people in their twenties who visit on weekends for day use have been making a mess in the changing rooms, bathrooms, saunas, and outdoor baths. They lie around talking loudly, play phone games, splash water at each other, and make a lot of noise. I'd like the inn to increase patrols and take other steps when they're here. It doesn't seem like there are many staff, and there aren't many checks or sauna mat changes. It's especially unbearable for guests staying overnight. If this keeps up, I'd rather they stop day visits. I love this inn and hope they'll do something about it.

The facilities were clean and pleasant, and lunch was tasty. A friend in Ishikawa Prefecture booked the lunch and day-use bath for us. The baths were generally nice, but the bath plan didn't include towels, which cost an extra 300 yen. There was also a notice that the water temperature for milk in the outdoor bath could be unstable, and in winter it was lukewarm. I hope they fix that soon. We bathed after lunch, and being able to use our room afterward would have helped us relax more. I also wanted coffee or something in the lobby after bathing, but there was no service for that. The facilities are impressive, though I felt the hospitality was short on consideration for guests.
