The room itself had everything I needed, including a shower, TV, air conditioning, a remote controlled light, and a really comfortable bed. The tatami mats had cute cat patterns on the fabric, and there were little cat socks on the table. From outside, the hotel looks ordinary, but the inside decoration is stunning. There are little details and hidden surprises everywhere, and you can tell a lot of care went into it. The staff were incredibly kind and accommodating, and even drove me back to the station. For the price, which was very good, I never expected such a great stay. It was the best hotel experience I’ve had in Japan.

The owners were incredibly warm and friendly. It was raining hard, so they gave us a lift to the station, and they were the kindest people I met during my time in Japan. The rooms were really good and the decor has its own distinctive style. Thanks for making the trip such a great experience. I’d happily stay here again on another visit to Ishinomaki. 🙏🏾

It’s an easy walk of about 10 minutes from either of the two nearby JR stations, and there’s a convenience store within walking distance. During check-in, the kind owner wrote me an introduction note in English.

The owners were lovely and made the place feel like home. I really enjoyed the breakfasts, and the rooms were nice too. The unusual decoration fits the hotel perfectly. So far, it’s my favorite place I’ve stayed in Japan. If I come back to Ishinomaki, I’ll stay here again. Arigato!

I found this to be the best budget hotel I’ve stayed at in Japan. The location is superb, with restaurants and shops around it and Aeon Mall only a few minutes away. Parking is included in the room charge. The owner was really helpful and clearly has a great hospitality mindset.
