Andanomori Izu Ippekiko

The place has a luxurious feel, friendly staff, good food, and lots for kids to do. There are free drinks and a karaoke room, too. We really recommend it, though hopefully it doesn't get too busy, haha.

The food selection wasn't huge, but every dish felt carefully made and tasted great. There were smoothies and macarons for dessert, too. I was also surprised they had fleece jackets in sizes small enough for my one-year-old daughter to wear outside. I've lived in Japan as a foreigner for over ten years and stayed at plenty of hotels, but the hospitality here stood out. There are drink bars in several spots, some with complimentary beer, nihon sake, whiskey, and wine, plus lots of activities and family facilities: table tennis, gate ball, billiards, outdoor play space, an indoor kids' room, a train room with toy trains and tracks, and a book cafe with drinks. This may be the first review I've ever written, but I wanted to share what a lovely hotel it is. You can tell management put thought into even the small details to make guests happy.

Getting here from Tokyo was easy even though we don't drive, and the staff were helpful. It's a great place to stay with toddlers. My two-year-old had a blast. Highly recommend it for a weekend away!

This was my second visit with my husband, and I loved the kind, welcoming staff at Andanomori eppekiko. My favorite thing was the five private open-air baths (Rotemburo). Dinner was excellent, and we got a surprise for our wedding anniversary, including a dancing frog man outside. So lovely! They even had macarons for dessert. After dinner we enjoyed the bar, and the bartender that evening made me a lovely cocktail. Thank you! Breakfast was excellent too. I especially loved the fresh tuna with yamaimo (Japanese yam), so yummy. There's too much to list about Andanomori eppekiko. The management clearly works hard on the little details to make guests feel cared for. It was really refreshing.
