Hotel & Spa Anda Resort Izu Kogen

The staff were wonderful. There wasn't a phone I could use, but one man offered to walk me about 2km to the nearest pay phone. He was fine with me using a translator since my Japanese isn't fluent. The buffet was great, with food that tasted really good and plenty of options, so even a picky eater like me could choose what I liked. There's a lot for families to do. The place is clean and welcoming, with all sorts of games and activities for kids. Families can try the dinosaur bath, while I especially enjoyed the temple and forest baths. It was one of the best hotel or resort stays I've had. I hope to come back for longer and with more people. I can't recommend it enough, especially for someone like me who worries about being polite and doing things the right way. Thanks for a great time!

We had a marvelous night here with family. For the money, it may be the best hotel or resort I've stayed in during more than 20 years in Japan. The staff were all friendly, polite, and lovely, and when I lost my wallet it was returned quickly. The rooms were lovely, with very nice bedroom setups, and the views were beautiful. There was so much for kids and adults to do: bouldering, darts, billiards, arcade games, basketball, mini golf, a manga room, and even a 'work room,' haha. There were lots of freebies too, including ice cream, beer, cake and coffee, plus photos taken during dinner. You could request electric bikes, and there was a late-night bar, barbecue, and even fireworks. We took the lovely Odoriko train from Yokohama, about an hour and a half, then walked 15 minutes uphill or took the free bus. It was a wonderful, relaxing stay at Anda Resort Izukogen, and surprisingly not that expensive. We were there on a Sunday night in June, though, so Friday and Saturday would probably cost more, as they do everywhere. Thanks to Anda Resort Izukogen and all the staff for making it so enjoyable.

This Bali-themed resort is within easy reach of Omuroyama, Jagosaki coast, the cactus park, and the zoo. The theme is unusual for a hotel, and there are good onsens and rotemburos, a games room, table tennis, darts, a hammock garden, and more. Food and drinks are included, with tasty dinners and late-night snacks. The views over the coast are peaceful, and it felt worth paying a little extra for a nice stay. It's good for kids. I'd recommend checking first if you have mobility difficulties. I didn't notice a lift to the guest rooms, and there are lots of steps along the garden paths.

My husband planned a surprise stay for my birthday at Anda Resort. He knows I want to go to Bali but can't take me there, so he chose this Bali-style resort where we could relax. He knows I love onsen, games like Sega, billiards, darts, table tennis and karaoke, and drinks. The hotel had all of that, and the food was perfect too. We had a lovely view of the sunrise from the balcony. They took a complimentary picture while we were eating dinner and gave it to us after checkout. Since it was my birthday, they also prepared a cake and had a staff member take another photo. After checkout, there was a free photo at their chapel too. The staff were so hospitable, and everything was perfect. Thank you so much, Anda Resort. My 30th birthday was wonderful.
