IZU GRAN VILLAGE Glamping

For this price, I'd pick another glamping place. At night, motorcycles and cars made enough noise to wake my child several times, and they cried. The road layout also seems likely to cause traffic jams. A few things to know: we were charged 30% of the adult rate for our one-year-old infant. The soba-making plan didn't include the activity fee, so we had to pay another 3000 yen per person on site. The booking for the activity apparently hadn't been made, possibly because of a communication error, and we had to explain the situation when we arrived. As other reviews have said, the staff service wasn't good, especially from the women. All-you-can-drink and other services were only available until 8:30 PM.

We were very happy with our stay and would like to come again. The room was clean, and the kids even received a nice stuffed animal. There was a slide and swings in the middle of the tent, which they loved. We were also surprised by how few bugs there were. We worried about mosquitoes, but there were very few, so we could relax outside at night. The starry sky was lovely, and my husband and I got to unwind. The location is handy, right across from Grand Pal Park, so we could return quickly after playing there. We stayed as a family of four without meals. We didn't feel like barbecuing that day, so we had dinner at a nearby restaurant. Toddlers' pajamas only started at 100cm, so bringing our own was a good idea. One thing could be better: all-you-can-drink ran from our arrival until 8:30pm, which felt short after Grand Pal Park closes at 5pm. Getting ready and cooking the BBQ left us little time to enjoy drinks. If your tent is a long way off, you also have to make several trips, so a longer window would be nice.

The older men there were lovely. The woman at check-in, though, was so openly grumpy that we all ended up laughing. It was our first time meeting her, and we'd done nothing wrong. I was only checking in, so why be that obviously annoyed? Even family wouldn't be so blatant!

The tents come in rows of locked domes, and each one felt bigger inside than I'd expected, with large beds. The toilet and bathroom are separate. They have proper BBQ facilities and provide all the ingredients. You can also buy snacks and other things at reception, so it's possible to camp without bringing anything. I'd happily use it again! ^ ^
