The buffet dinner was so good, especially the roast beef, fresh sashimi, and strawberries. I didn't have room for anything else.

The roof-level onsen on the 11th floor was a highlight, with a nice view across the city, Dogo Onsen, and the castle. Dogo Onsen and the cherry blossoms in Dogo Park are only a short walk away. The ryokan is high quality, kid-friendly, and has very nice, spacious rooms. Parking is available, though I wouldn't recommend the northern route along the river: several stretches are so narrow that only one car can pass at a time.

The hotel has a pretty good onsen spa on the 11th floor, with a nice view. Dinner was good, and the room was clean and good as well. It's a Japanese-style ryokan, though the fairly modern building looks more like a Western hotel. Service was good. Dogo Onsen Honkan is very close, and Dogo Onsen station is about a 10-minute walk away.

Good rooms, food, and service, plus a great location and a cheap price. What more could you ask for?

The room was clean, the food delicious, the spa nice, and the staff kind. What more do you need?
